Positive ID Required
 
As a notary public, I am required by law to positively identify all my customers.  PA Law requires acceptable IDs to contain the following elements:
 
Current, Government issued ID Card with a serial or ID# AND

           at least one of the following:
Photograph
Physical Description
Signature

 Examples:   PA Driver's License

                   Military ID Card

                   Gov't ID Card

                   PA Non-Driver Photo ID

                   Professional State License

                   Current Passport

                   INS Alien Registration Card

                   Matricula Consular


Department of Motor Vehicle/Penndot Services

To avoid delay please have available ,if applicable:

Current PA Driver's License, ID Card or Armed Forces Common Access Card
Vehicle Title
Current Proof of Insurance- Motorcycles must show proof of MC coverage on their policy.  Must list Applicant on ID Card or Declaration Page of Policy.
Current Registration Card-  If Transferring a Tag
Proof of Sales Tax Paid, if Vehicle is being  titled in PA for first time- Bill of Sale

Picture or tracing of Vin if titling in PA first time

If bringing truck or trailer into PA from out of state.  Unladen Weight ( weight slip) and GVWR is required.
